Shannon Henderson’s PageMiles for Hope
We want to DO something, not just talk or post about it.
I have started running during the pandemic. It is something I didn’t think I could do, but have proven to myself and others the opposite. Dedication, time and energy are necessary to do the hard things. It is a lot like my view point of making a real difference. I thought previously, that I couldn’t do that on a large scale – for important issues and social injustices, however, I want to prove to myself again that the opposite is true. I am dedicating every run that I take this month to missing and exploited children. I want to show myself, these children, and others that with dedication, time, and energy we can do hard things.
I walk/run about 2.5 miles two – three times a week. That’s a total of 7.5 miles a week, which is roughly 30 miles for the month. If I could get ten people to donate $30, or $1 per mile, I’ll reach my goal.
Will you consider supporting a cause that we CAN will make a difference?
