The Aloi Family Fundraising PageMiles for Hope
For the past six years I have participated in the Syracuse Ride for Missing Children, first as a rider and more recently a ride shepard and a committee member. We ride 100 miles across Syracuse visiting local schools, educating and spreading awareness. We help educate kids on Internet safety and how to handle tricky situations. Leading up to ride day I visit schools and take part in assemblies on Internet safety. The ride is something I am passionate about, train for and look forward to all year. Due to the current situation, we won’t be having the “normal” ride for missing kids this year.
This year I will be supporting “Miles for Hope,” a reimagined version of The Ride for Missing Children. It is an awareness and fundraising event to support the work of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The goal of “Miles for Hope” is to keep everyone moving throughout the month of September. I’ve taken this opportunity to bring my family along for the ride.
Laura, Christopher, Grace and Dominic are pledging to ride 50 miles in September. I will ride these 50 miles with them and also complete a traditional 100 mile century ride. I won’t have the police escort or students cheering me on, but I plan to ride by some of our schools and share photos on social media.
If you’d like to donate to support our effort, we sure would appreciate it!!
