Missing and Exploited Children‘s PageMiles for Hope
The issue of missing/exploited children and human trafficking is one that has always been the most important to me and one I’ve always been passionate about getting involved in. I’ve always known that it is a much larger and more prevalent problem than the media and people of power address it to be, but just recently I started digging deeper into the reality of what’s going on in our country and this world, and I am absolutely horrified at what I’ve found. Especially when I’ve only actively been researching this topic in depth for about a week, which I know can only barely have scratched the surface. As a mother, I cannot imagine one of my children ever having to go through what millions of kids have been made to endure at the hands of the most evil human beings to ever exist. I cannot help but think of how incredibly scared these children are and it turns my stomach to imagine some of the horrendous things they experience, and how completely helpless they must feel to be powerless and alone. I made a decision last week to not just sit by knowing something like this is going on around me, every day, to so many kids. I’ve already come up with a few plans of action to how I can help raise awareness and support for this very cause, and I know that it’s no coincidence that I happened upon the link for this organization when I was going through the IRS website to file our taxes. God has put it so heavy on my heart to do anything I can to stand for those precious children who cannot stand for themselves, to give them a voice and scream for help for those who cannot be heard, and to be an active part of the resistance to what has gone way too far and has been overlooked for way too long.
